If i were there in HTV today .. on my birthday ...different people would have different way to wish me .. like

lets start with YASIR ... as everybody know...he is the sole initiator in the department who plans for treats and other people around him .... don't think as them separate .. they are the core supporters of him but in different styles, moods, disguised ways and stances.

Hello, all. I just wanted to let everyone here know that today is my 20th birthday. As of now, I am no longer a teenager. I suppose I could be considered a young mature for real, and not euphemistically.Strange.
It doesn't feel like anything's changed for me. Today I slept in, I'm going to university come back 6:30 and then come back here, hopefully to chat with Bolo Na!, F03B148, Miss attitude that's it.
Every year my birthdays get more exceptional than the last. And even though they're painstaking as bliss, I'd love to get like a surprise party. I imagine Saima and Kalsoom(who share my b-days with me) are having more lavish days than me. But I honestly don't care.so happy birthday to me.

Today, last month was my last post ^^ feel sorry for those who visited my blog but it wasn't update for a whole month. Yeah exactly like FeRRy: said: ayesha, ur blog is not uptodated . Maybe sooner or later it will continuing happen ;pYep...I've been so busy last month due to so many assignments and counting down to finish my 7th semmester. Famous saying goes: sweet rewards come to those who wait. That is so true after fasting for 30 days during the holy month of Ramadan, as Eid is the best thing one could get in return. And as the festivity comes nearer I remember my mother telling me about the sweet rituals of her time. The divine fragrance of attar left many happy moments and sweet memories on Eid day of which she would remain with her always.

‘So eventually the days of Ramadan passed, taking their blessings with them and on the last night of it, when the new moon was sighted on ‘Chaand Raat’ (Night of the Moon) the hustle and bustle of Eid begin,’

So Eid was knocking on our doors, promising to bring with it a flurry of activities. From savory smells emanating from the kitchen, to dusting and draping, bringing out the good china, and last minute shopping, there was a marked air of renewal and celebration all around.

It was the night before Eid, and the auspicious crescent had been sighted, but for women, both young and old alike, something seemed amiss without a rich and pungent coat of mehendi adorning their hands.

Women pool together in their drawing rooms, an atmosphere of merriment about them as they proceed to apply mehendi in intricate patterns on each other’s hands and feet. The art of applying mehendi is almost a ritual in itself, one that adds an extra slice of mirth to the holy occasion.

However, not many are aware of the way of applying this cosmetic paste in gorgeous and enticing manner. The person in your neighbors, cousins or friends who knows this art becomes the most vital personality and everybody try to approach her. Luckily or unluckily I also know a lilt bit about applying mhendi and …. same thing happened with me on Channd Raat just after the iftar as the moon was declared I started receiving number of friends and cousin. it was very difficult to manage when everybody was asking and calling “Ayesha” “Ayesha” ”Ayesha yarr its my turn now”..and “I m ur elder cousin so please my turn first” “Ayesha baji main bachi hoon pahlay meari barri” and a lot of stuff like this. Coz everybody was impatient to get their hands decorated in any way. Small girls were very much enthusiastic …and they end in adorning all sides of hands and feet. I noticed the zeal of kids, young’s and old that everybody wants to look dazzling from head to feet by applying gorgeous styles and designs of mhendi.

Designs vary from country to country. Indian mehendi art incorporates fine lines, with lace-like and floral patterns, while Moroccan and African designs are thicker, bolder, and with geometric angles. Henna is also simply applied in a thick layer on the palms and soles of feet, as is sometimes practiced in our own country.

Asides its aesthetic element, henna is believed to hold special medicinal value. It is said to soothe dry skin, heal certain skin diseases, and reduce swelling. Even beverages are concocted out of it for stomach cramps and headaches.

Undoubtedly, henna is more than just a cosmetic paste, its cultural and traditional worth making it a part and parcel of many festivals. In our country , Pakistan, heena adds an extra celebration in wedding ceremonies. Girls and friends of bride apply beautiful designs of heena on bride’s hands and sing beautifull songs of mehndi like “Mehndi say likh do ri hatoon pay sakhyoo maray sanwarya ka namm” meaning thereby is (write the name on my palms of my beloved with mehndi)

From weddings and engagements to religious occasions, all remain more or less incomplete without it. With only a few days left before Eid, one can already visualise the halwa and paratha laden table and hear the merriment of female relatives and friends alike, assembled together the night before Eid as they usher in the celebrations with joyful anticipation, and with intricately designed mehendi on their hands.

Essence of Eidul Fitr

Gratefulness to God is always rewarded. Eidul Fitr is a reward to the Muslim ummah for striving to temper their souls through the rigours of self-denial and offering of special prayers during the holy month of Ramazan in humble thankfulness and sincere gratitude for the countless mercies, blessings and favours of our Creator which we enjoy in our mundane life.

God has created man as the best of all His creations and exalted him to the noble and dignified position of being His deputy on earth. In His infinite kindness and mercy He loves His subjects more than parents love their offsprings. It is only proper, therefore, that man as Allah's vicegerent on earth bases the lofty mission of his life on the worship and thankfulness to God for His endless bounties, grace and favours bestowed on him right from his cradle to the grave.

According to the Holy Quran Allah says, "I have created only jinn and man, that they may serve and worship Me." (Quran, 51:56). On another occasion Allah addresses man in these words: "It is He who brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers when you knew nothing; and He gave you hearing and sight and intelligence and love, that you may give thanks to Him" (Quran, 16:78).

The above verses indicate that the entire community of human beings is enjoined and obligated to worship God and to be thankful to Him. Thankfulness is one of the four qualities essential for perfection of belief in Islam. The other three being truthfulness, modesty and good behaviour. Eidul Fitr, observed after the end of the month of Ramazan, on the first of lunar month Shawwal every year, is a day of rejoicing and thanksgiving to the Lord of the universe for giving the strength for having successfully fulfilled the test of faith Divinely ordained.

Beyond feasting and festivities, Eidul Fitr is also an ibadah (worship). Ibadah is the most vital duty of man towards his Maker and includes all actions which are performed in obedience to and for the pleasure of Allah. The concept of ibadah (worship) in Islam is all too comprehensive and encompasses the whole spectrum of human conduct covering both fulfilling obligations to Allah (Huquq-al-Ibad) and obligations towards fellow-beings (Huquq-al'Ibad). Fulfilment of both Huquq Allah and Huquq-al-'Ibad must be integrated to attain success as true adherents of Allah.

The Lord of the universe did not leave man unguided in treading on to the path leading to the attainment of the lofty mission of his life. The world is a place of trial and man is to be judged on the basis of the life he lives in it. Everything in the world is for man but man himself is for his Lord and his mission in life is to fulfil the will of God. For his guidance, Allah raised many Messengers from amongst the descendants of Adam with Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) embodying the finality of prophethood and Islam marking the perfection of Divine commandments.

Fundamentally all the Prophets of God based their teachings on the concept of ibadah which helps to develop a close relationship between an individual and his Lord. All good deeds are included in ibadah and consistent observance of ibadah creates taqwa (Godliness) which consists of complete submission to the will of God. The Prophets of God succeeded in making people observe their duty to God and to their fellow beings through the force of taqwa.

Taqwa is the vital driving force in developing the inner strength of man. The Prophets of God tried to nourish and nurture the quality of taqwa among human beings through various forms of ibadah and through emphasis on their social obligations.

However, worship on its own is not enough; it must be accompanied by good deeds denoting complete submission to the will and pleasure of Allah. Through acts of devotion one fulfils obligations to Allah and through good deeds to men one fulfils his obligations towards his fellow beings.

Those who are included in the ummah of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace be upon him) have been enjoined among other ibadah, to say prayers five times every day. It has also been made obligatory for Muslims to observe fast during the holy month of Ramazan for it would make them muttaqi (righteous). Quran says: "O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may attain taqwa" (Qur'an 2: 183). "It is not the meat nor the blood that reaches Allah! It is taqwa that reaches Him" (Qur'an 22:37). The taqwa is an integral part of the doctrine of Islam and should, therefore, be attained by every Muslim.

This is the real significance of Eidul Fitr. While celebrating Eid, we must remember the plight of the less privileged, the discarded, the deprived, the homeless and the destitute who find themselves in trying circumstances in different parts of the world. Our hearts must go out to them. Without this we will be wanting in the real spirit of Eid.

Devastating quake kills thousands

ON Oct 8 early in the morning at 8:52 AM a strong earthquack jolted almost everybody : A strong earthquake, said to be most powerful to hit the region in 100 years, is feared to have killed and injured thousands of people and caused massive destruction in northern Pakistan on Saturday, mainly in areas situated close to its epicentre which lay some 95 kilometres northeast of Islamabad in Kashmir.
Met department chief Dr Qamaruz Zaman said the earthquake, measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale, was the severest to hit the region in 100 years. It proved so destructive because it was shallow — about 10 kilometres deep
Even one of the some 40 aftershocks that his department’s seismographs registered within six hours of the initial massive quake that hit at 8:52am measured 6.2. A tremor of intensity of 6 is rated as a major earthquake. However, only about 18 of the aftershocks were perceptible to the people.
Television footage from Muzaffarabad, one of the worst hit places, gave some inkling of the devastation it caused. PTV showed buildings collapsed, roads split open and blocked by landslides, water pipes broken and power lines and transformers flung down.
The devastating earthquake shocked the nation and brought the best in it as people rose up to the occasion participating in the relief work.In Islamabad many residents were still asleep after taking Sehri when the quake jolted them out of their beds. Those already up and about to go for their work places rushed out of their houses into the open as the earth shook violently.
Experts’ calls over TV channels to remain cautious as the aftershocks could continue for next 48 hours unnerved them even more.
PTV cameras perhaps caught the most vivid pictures of human reaction to the quake at the exact moment it hit. An official being interviewed in a talk show on India’s controversial Baglihar dam suddenly stopped mid way as everything in the PTV studio started shaking.“It is an earthquake - a strong one,” said the official and he and the two presenters of the show started praying. “Allah-o- Akbar, Allah-o-Akbar”, they said and recited the Kalima.

The art of dealing with people

What is the quality that all successful people have in common? They have mastered the art of dealing with people! A human relation is the science of dealing with people in such a way that our egos and their egos remain intact. The reason 90 per cent of the people fail in life is failure to deal successfully with people. The doctors, the lawyers, the salesperson who enjoy the most success are not necessarily the ones who are the most skilled in their job. The husband and wife who are the happiest are not the ones who are the most attractive.

Understanding the human ego

The first law of human relations is “people act or fail to act, largely to enhance their own egos.” Because the human ego is such a precious thing to its possessor, and because a person will go to all extremes to defend against what he perceives as threats to his ego, the word egotism has a negative connotation. Every human being is a special, individual personality, always ready to defend his ego against all enemies. That is why you cannot treat people as machines. If you are on good terms with yourself, you are on good terms with others. Ego-hunger is as universal and natural as the hunger for food. Ego of each person needs respect approval and a sense of accomplishment. A starved ego is a mean ego.When self-esteem is at a high level, people are easy to get along with. When self-esteem is at a low ebb, trouble comes easily. And when self-esteem gets low enough, almost anything can become a threat. To that person a critical look or a harsh word can seem like a calamity.Develop the habit of paying at least five sincere compliments each day and watch how much smoother your relations with others become. Help others to like themselves better and satisfy their hunger for self-esteem.

Making people feel important

Never make the mistake of assuming that just because someone is successful or famous, they have no need or feeling of importance. Courtesy and politeness are merely ways in which we acknowledge the importance of the other person. Little things that are apparently unimportant actions can have such tremendous consequences in the field of human relations. Remember that it takes only a small spark to start a fire. And little things you do and say can set off a chain reaction.If you want to make a good impression on others, the best way is to let them know that they impress you. You should know when to correct others. Ask yourself: does it make any real difference that they are right or wrong? Don’t try to win all the little battles! If nothing else is involved except the person’s ego, why bother?

Controlling the actions and attitudes of others

Dealing with others is as though we are standing before a mirror. When we smile, the person in the mirror smiles; when we frown, they frown; and when we shout, they shout back. Knowing this you can control others’ emotions to an amazing degree. When you find yourself in an explosive situation, lower the tone of your voice and keep it low. This will literally force others to keep their voices low, too.It is a sad but a true fact that many of mediocre ability get further than those who have outstanding talents because they know how to control their actions. Watch your walk; your physical actions express your mental attitude. See someone walking with head and eyes down and you are looking at a pessimistic soul. Use the magic switch of a smile. Everyone is blessed with a cute smile. It’s just a matter of letting it out. If you are not using your smile, you’re like someone with a million in the bank and no cheque book.

Attracting people

Those who accept and like people just as they are, have the most influence in changing others’ behaviour for the better. Approval means something more positive as it goes beyond just tolerating faults and find something we can like.You can always find something to approve of in others. It may be something small and insignificant. Seek things out, praise, and watch people glow! The word ‘appreciate’ means to raise in value. Stop and consider how others are valuable to you. We all want to be recognized for our own unique worth. Start using the triple ‘A’ formula for attracting people.

Learning to communicate effectively

One thing successful people have in common is the skill in using words. Earning power and word skill are so closely tied together that you can safely expect to increase your earnings simply by increasing your word power. Small talk is necessary to get the wheels of conversation turning. Realizing this will enable you to start a conversation even with a perfect stranger.Get people to talk about themselves. Try warming up the other person with words like “Where are you from? What do you think of our weather? What business are you in? These questions get the others talking about themselves. They break the ice as they see that you are interested in them. You don’t have to search for a topic of mutual interest. You start them off on the one topic they are expert in…themselves.You are a human, too, and it is natural to be tempted to talk about yourself. You want to shine; you want to impress others. But you will rate much higher in others’ estimation if you turn the conversation to them rather than to yourself. Others will have a much higher opinion of you.We make sarcastic remarks hoping that others will recognize our cleverness. Teasing and sarcastic remarks are both aimed at the self-esteem of others, and anything that threatens the self esteem is a dangerous business, even when done in fun.

Listening

Oliver Wendell Holmes wrote, “To be able to listen to others in a sympathetic and understanding manner is perhaps the most effective mechanism in the world for getting along with the people and tying up their friendship for good.” Successful people encourage others to talk, and to keep on talking, while keeping their own mouths shut. You increase their self-esteem by this; for everyone likes to think that they have something to say that is worth saying.

Convincing others

When someone opposes our ideas, we take it as a threat to our ego. We become hostile and try to ram our ideas down our opponent’s throat. This is not the way to win. The only way to win an argument is to get others to change their minds in a friendly way. Tell someone their ideas are stupid and they will defend them forever. Use threats and they simply close their minds against your ideas, regardless of how good they may be. There is only one way to get an idea accepted — by suggestion. Try to slip an idea into someone’s subconscious, more or less unnoticed.

Giving praise

Praise gives us new energy and new life. All you have to do is to give sincere praise to someone each day, and notice how it helps them to do better. If someone does you a small favour, show your appreciation and give them credit by saying ‘thank you.’ If there is someone who irritates you, begin looking for something for which you can compliment them. If they bite your head off, maybe they have nice teeth. So, compliment them on their teeth.

Criticizing without offending

The word ‘criticism’ leaves a bad taste in our mouths. The real art of criticism is not to beat others down, but to build them up. It is not to hurt feelings, but to help people do a better job. Criticism must be done in absolute privacy. The mildest form of criticism in the presence of others is likely to be resented. Preface criticism with a kind word or compliment. Make criticism impersonal; criticize the act, not the person.By pinpointing your criticism to their actions, you can pay them a compliment and build up their ego at the same time: “I know from past experience that this error is not typical of your usual performance.” Remember, to call attention to an error once is justified, twice is unnecessary, three times is nagging. Your goal in criticizing is to get a job done, not to win an ego fight.Skill in human relations is similar to skill in any other field, in that success depends on understanding and mastering certain basic general principles. The one successful way to get the things you want from life is to acquire skill in dealing with people.

amount on equal share. Everybody took out Rs. 10 /- from their pocket and paid the bill. They were yet sitting and gossiping in restaurant, Suddenly the
waiter realized that the amount of their bill was Rs. 25 /- not Rs. 30 /- He took Rs. 5 /- from counter and decided to return them. Then he thought they are 3
how will they share Rs. 5 /- ? So he has decided to keep Rs. 2 /- to him and return only Rs. 3 /- to them.
He came to their table and returned them Rs. 3 /- with apology. Everybody took Rs. 1 /- and put in their pockets.
Now my question is first time everyone paid Rs. 10 /- later they get Rs 1 /- refunded. So everybody paid Rs. 9 /-
Rs. 9 * 3 = Rs. 27 /-
The waiter put Rs 2 /- in his pocket.
Rs. 27 + Rs 2 = 29
So...... Where is the remaining Rs. 1 /-
Find out where is the remaining Rs. 1 /- OR everybody has to pay Rs. 1 /- to me
